Really loving Kara Para Aşk (Dirty money and love) these days! SynopsisTrailer: It stars Engin Akyürek and Tuba Büyüküstün in the lead roles as Omer (a police officer) and Elif (a jewelry designer). The series has a good pace, good suspense and a crackling chemistry between the leads!

The finale was a bit rushed in my opinion, but I can forgive them for that since they cancelled two episodes out of respect for the victims of the earthquake that happened in Turkey earlier this year. Have you see any more episodes? How are you finding it?

The finale was a bit rushed in my opinion, but I can forgive them for that since they cancelled two episodes out of respect for the victims of the earthquake that happened in Turkey earlier this year. Have you see any more episodes? How are you finding it? I've seen most of the episodes that have been screened here - I don't know what episode we're upto because they take the two-hour episodes and chop them up into two and a bit episodes. {Click to view!} We're upto the part where Nilufer has been saved. Ok so the police know that one of the kidnappers has escaped and a man is found in the sea near where Nilufer was held captive and the police don't consider for a second that this may be the guy they're looking for? I feel so sorry for poor Elif - trying to do the right thing and having her family angry at her. To answer your question, so far I'm enjoying it. Tuba is so beautiful and I've liked Engin ever since I saw him all those years ago in Yabanci damat; they have such great chemistry. I also like Nebahat Çehre though I think she was better in Ask-i-memnu. Right now I want to know who the murderer is, what the relationship between Sibel and Ahmet was; what Tayyer's role is in all this and how did he manage to pull the wool over everyone's eyes for so long.

Great to see that Kara Para Ask getting all the love. This is the only TV show I have watched in the season. And I don't even like either of the leads. But both of them won my heart and viewer interest with this one. First off this is an original plot (not a literary adaptation, not some story that is stolen or bought from other countries) and it flows really fast. I was looking forward to each episode as it aired and the finale simply slayed me. I loved where it ended, who the killer was (how could he?? how could he??) and they way the lovers' relationship is a big question mark now on to where it is going to go. I love the costumes, the sets and the cast. Tuba is amazing, she has twin babies and she looks like that! Kudos. Engin is not my type of guy but I love his character here and he is a good actor with especially soulful eyes. So I'm not puzzled with all the love he is getting. Tayyar and his medical and fauna related information are hillarious one minute and chilling the next. He is merciless and disgusting just as an evil guy should be. There are two things that didn't work for me 1-) Stockholm Syndrome story. I just don't buy it really. Otherwise Metin is a very interesting character with a fascinating back story. 2-) The best friend Bahar's stupid schemes. The character has so much potential to be truly smart and produce better evil machinations. I hope that the writers will work on that. Looking forward for the new season. For people who like Engin Akyurek, I can recommend "Kucuk Bir Eylul Meselesi" - it is a rather music video like film which can provide good eye candy. I have been to the place where it was filmed (Bozcaada) and the film did a great job on displaying its beauties. Check it out if you have time to kill.

I loved where it ended, who the killer was (how could he?? how could he??) and they way the lovers' relationship is a big question mark now on to where it is going to go. I knew both leads before and even though I think that they are both very good-looking I never thought that they were good actors - I'm not saying that they're bad actors just that they were adequate. I've heard so many people rave about what a good actor Engin is and I could never see it until last week - there was this scene with the two of them where they're not talking just looking at each other and you could read all the feelings that the characters were feeling in their faces and eyes - they just knocked it out of the ball-park and since then I have new respect for them.
I'm so dying to find out who the killer is. They've thrown up a few red herrings; now they're implying that it's one guy and I wonder if it's him or if this is just another deception. Well, by next wek Friday I'll know I love the costumes, the sets and the cast. On the whole I think that the costumes are pretty spot on although Tuba was wearing a horrible skirt and even more horrible shoes in yesterday's episode (I know what they were trying to do but it didn't work). The only thing that I don't like about the costumes is that they always have Nilufer weaing sky-high heels. I get that she's rich and doesn't do any chores around the house but nobody wears those heels 24/7. Everytime I look at Tuba, I'm amazed that she's had twins - she's just so thin.
Ooh yes; Tayyer and his fish! I love him. This is the first tim that I've seen this actor and I kust love how he's playing his role - cuddly uncle one second, merciless the next - he's just great.
There are two things that didn't work for me 1-) Stockholm Syndrome story. I just don't buy it really. Otherwise Metin is a very interesting character with a fascinating back story. Yes I don't buy the Stockholm Syndrome story either plus I find Nilufer irritating. I do like the Metin character (as in I find him interesting). I remember the actor from Asi and even though I don't find the actor at all attractive, I find that he's very good in his role and I enjoy watching him. I've missed a bit of the series; have we found out yet why some people call him Metin and others (including his mum) call him Fatih?2-) The best friend Bahar's stupid schemes. The character has so much potential to be truly smart and produce better evil machinations. I hope that the writers will work on that. I also wanted to ad that I don't like Sibel's mum. I can understand that she's in a lot of pain 'cause she lost her child, and I imagine that there's nothing worse for a parent than losing their child, but she's so judgemental towards Omer; she doesn't let him explain and when he tries to, she doesn't believe him. Omer has never given them a reason for them not to trust him (unlike Sibel and her mum) and if there's one thing the series has shown, at least so far, it's that if there's one guy you can trust, that guy is Omer. Hehehe My Engin Ayurek loving friend has already given me a copy of this to see. She really enjoyed it. I havn't seen it yet - it's on my list of films to watch; so many films, so little time. One of the Greek gossip shows said tha Tuba gets 52 000 euro an episode and that Engin gets 20 000 euros an episode. Is Tuba a big star in Turkey? Is she a bigger star than Engin? I think most people in Greece would know Engin over Tuba; he has been in two of the four most popular Turkish series. Asi was also popular but I don't think it was as popular as Fatmagul or Yabanci Damat.

Yes, he is trying to hide his identity from Tayyar. He has the saddest back story of all.
Oh they do, they do (I used wear them all the time, when I was Nilüfer's age, even though I'm not rich) I'm lucky that I didn't end up with deformed feet.
Prepare to dislike her even more! That's all I'm saying.
I also would like to add that I love Omer's relationship with Pelin. Yes, men and women can be friends and she is a good example of that. I like how smart and competent she is. And actually women in this show are generally smarter than men. Even Nilü, with all her annoying habits can get what she wants when she puts her mind to it.

Yes, he is trying to hide his identity from Tayyar. He has the saddest back story of all. I thought that maybe Metin was his "criminal" name. I missed the episode where they showed his back story and I've been trying to piece it together.Oh they do, they do (I used wear them all the time, when I was Nilüfer's age, even though I'm not rich) I'm lucky that I didn't end up with deformed feet. I, too like Omer's relationship with Pelin. In fact I like the three friends. I was disappointed when Arda said he was in love with Pelin and in one of the episodes they implied that Pelin was in love with him too. I would have preferred if they were all three friends but I still like the dynamic of the group and they look like they could be friends. Talking about the women on this show, what kind of woman pimps her boyfriend out to her "best friend" and tells him to make the friend fall in love with him and what kind of man agrees? I don't like either Bahar or Levent and she's definitely wearing the pants in that relationship.
Ithought today was Thursday and I ended up missing the first half hour but oh my God the killer!!!!! There is no way that I ever would have guessed that that was the killer! It came completely out of left field! Wow! I have so many questions; I can't wait for season 2 to begin.

Engin Akyürek loving friend posted two trailers for season two of Kara Para Ask on facebook. I was already dying to see it as it was but after the second trailer I want to see the continuation right now! I'm not as dedicated as my friend and I'll wait until they sow it on tv here. She saw season one the day after each episode was screened in Turkey without subtitles and then later once again (this time with subtitles) and she's gonna do the same with season two.

I have been to the place where it was filmed (Bozcaada) and the film did a great job on displaying its beauties. Check it out if you have time to kill. I finally got around to seeing this: I liked it. In the beginning it seemed like Engin was playing his character as being slow but his acting improved as the film progressed and in some scenes he was vey good. I'm not too fond of Farah Zeynep Abdullah, who I know from Öyle Bir Geçer Zaman Ki - I don't think she's a good actress. What was that line they kept saying all the time about he beautiful girl who fell in love with the ugly man. I find Farah Zeynep Abdullah unattractive and, even though this is the least attractive that I've seen Engin, there's no way that you would ever call him ugly. I could understand these characterisations when he was narating 'cause he saw himself as ugly and he saw her as beautiful but not when others were narrating. {Click to view!} After a while it was obvious that Tek had died and that Tek in the present was a figment of her imagination.

Finally the first episode of the second season aired last night and it was a spectecular return. Great excitement, surprises, drama and suspense.
Prepare to hate Huseyin even more, that's all I'm saying.
Metin is actually Tayyar's illegitimate son. Tayyar cut his mother's tounge one day and little Fatih (his true name) had to watch from the window. He now lives with his mother and calls Tayyar "uncle". And his secret agenda is that he is planning major revenge on Tayyar (who knows Metin is his son but doesn't like him as well he does his legitimate, better looking son) Now his legitimate son is in love with Nilu and Metin knows it so I think this is also a factor on his intentions as regards to Nilü (who is even more annoying in this episode).
Bahar is a little bitch and it's so sad that Elif doesn't see her true face.
Re: Kucuk Bir Eylul Meselesi I completely agree to Zeynep Farah, she is a cute girl but not a beauty (such as Beren or Tuba) and I too don't think she is that good an actor. The film itself I only liked for its visuals. I have had a great vacation on that island and everywhere were familiar and beautifully filmed.
Not a fan of Engin except in Kara Para Ask as Omer. I like Omer's character and I like the way Engin acts more with his eyes than anything else. The way he looked at Elif in this episode. He was saying a lot without saying a word and I loved it.

Fatmagulun sucu ne is one I definitely reccomend for Engin! I think he is genuinely fantastic actor, especially the way he acts with his eyes and body language and no TV series displays that better than Fatmagulun sucu ne, he was great in it! Even though I don't find him physically attractive much, he managed to make me fall in love with both Kerim (FGSN) and Omer (KPA)
I'm so dying to find out who the killer is. They've thrown up a few red herrings; now they're implying that it's one guy and I wonder if it's him or if this is just another deception. Well, by next wek Friday I'll know Where you right? I did find a few scenes with his character a little suspicious and off, but then the writers were smart to throw in a touching scene with Omer or something and make me think: no, surely such a caring brother wouldn't do that to Omer and then sit and console him for ages!I love the costumes, the sets and the cast. Tuba is amazing, she has twin babies and she looks like that! Kudos. Engin is not my type of guy but I love his character here and he is a good actor with especially soulful eyes. Ooh yes; Tayyer and his fish! I love him. This is the first tim that I've seen this actor and I kust love how he's playing his role - cuddly uncle one second, merciless the next - he's just great. I second that, he is fantastic! He even looks the part of the cuddly uncle - hardly the way villains typically look - and then somehow he manages to look like the most deranged, menacing person to walk the planet! There are two things that didn't work for me 1-) Stockholm Syndrome story. I just don't buy it really. Otherwise Metin is a very interesting character with a fascinating back story. I've missed a bit of the series; have we found out yet why some people call him Metin and others (including his mum) call him Fatih? Although I hate that storyline, in a weird way I can see why it happened to Nilufer. She is as naieve as they come, she's lived all her life in a bubble and then is thrown into this harsh stark reality. Under that kind of shock and duress, I think she subconsciously romanticized the situation in an attempt to return to the safety she's used to, so she started seeing Metin in a romantic light. Him on the other hand, he's come from a world of violence, pain and abuse. All he's ever known is darkness so seeing someone like her was very intriguing to him. He's never seen someone so innocent and 'untouched' darkness that he couldn't help be drawn to it. Doesn't mean I like it though Nilufer need's to be slapped into next week! Urghhh!2-) The best friend Bahar's stupid schemes. The character has so much potential to be truly smart and produce better evil machinations. I hope that the writers will work on that. I also wanted to ad that I don't like Sibel's mum. Fatmagulun sucu ne is one I definitely reccomend for Engin! I think he is genuinely fantastic actor, especially the way he acts with his eyes and body language and no TV series displays that better than Fatmagulun sucu ne, he was great in it! Even though I don't find him physically attractive much, he managed to make me fall in love with both Kerim (FGSN) and Omer (KPA) Yes, I had already seen Engin in Fatmagul but I wasn't too impressed with him: maybe because Kerem was a hothead and Engin spent half his time acting angry. In Kara Para Ask he acts a lot with his eyes and that's difficult to do.Where you right? I did find a few scenes with his character a little suspicious and off, but then the writers were smart to throw in a touching scene with Omer or something and make me think: no, surely such a caring brother wouldn't do that to Omer and then sit and console him for ages! The writers were making us think that Tanner was the killer but I had a feeling that they were just pulling the wool over our eyes. Having said that, there was no way that I would have guessed that {you know who} was the murderer. I know that we were suppossed to thik that he was a loving person and in most scenes he did lok like a nice, loving person but in a few scenes he had a mean look in his eyes. Ten the scene when we find out he's the murderer: when the camera panned up and we saw his face he looked so diabolcal! Hussein I loved the first episode of season two! I like that they kept the pace and continueed to add suspense to the story instead of just making it all about Elif and Omer, can't wait until the next episode! You and Elizabethbennet are really making me want to sse the next episodes - not that I didn't already want to see them but you're making me more excited
