I just want to thank the Mods/Admins for all their hard work in making the change-over as pain-free as possible, and having the patience of several saints while we mere mortals try to work out which buttons do what. Thank you guys! Xas said it better than I could; thanks!

Thanks for the correction. I was trying it at work and in my haste must have put 10 in the days box, not the hours box.

When you use the image tags on this forum, by default they let the image take up 100% of the width of the message, i.e.: [img alt="" src="http://idlebrain.com/movie/photogallery/shilpachakravarthy6/images/shilpachakravarthy7.jpg" style="max-width:100%;"]
As the aspect ratio of the image is preserved, this can make images (esp. images which are taller than wide) take up large stretches of a message: I don't know if the moderators want to see if they can change the default max-width to a smaller value, such as 30%:

Thanks James. Since we had the chance to make a change, I wanted to push for a more appropriate location. As the mods are OK with this discussion being here, I certainly respect your decision.

I think that function just marks the messages as read.
In the upper right on the main page I did see a NEW button next to the word "Participated". Clicking it gave me a popup with new responses to threads in which I had participated.
The other feature I found in the Search page is to enter just a time range, i.e. 10 hours, and search. That seems to list all posts made within the time period.
As to why they may not have included the feature we are used to, I'm not sure. It should be able to tell the last time a user logged on to a forum, and run a query for all posts made after that time. Such a query doesn't seem more expensive than other things they are doing.

While I also value the discussion we had on the old forum, I think it might be best to move the non-South Asian film discussion to a forum more suited to it. We can leave a pointer to where we went, our usernames if they are different, etc. It was the biggest WAL thread, probably in the top 15 threads on the forum, and in a way it took away from the Indian focus of the forum.

Is there a way to show new/unread posts since last visit, as there was in the previous forum software?
