Release date : 2015, July 10th Director : Radhika Rao & Vinay Sapru Cast :
*Sunny Deol, *Kangana Ranaut Music : *Pritam Chakraborty, *Falak Shabir, *R.D.Burman, *Anupam Amod Plot :This is a one-night story – it’s New Year eve and two strangers living in two different cities are tossed into each other’s company by the hand of fate in a comedy of errors that’s as funny as it is enchanting. The movie follows a beautiful musician (Kangana Ranaut) and a serious Wall Street banker (Sunny Deol), that have a chance encounter on New Year's Eve that the banker can't seem to remember and the events that come about as a result of the two meeting. Soon, they are caught in a situation when they have to pretend to be a couple and during the course of this farce they fall in love. Poster : Trailer :The movie was first to be released in 2013 but following the fate of Singh Saab the Great (a Sunny Deol starrer) at the box office, the producers decided to shelve it.
It seems that Kangana newfound popularity led them to rethink this decision.

I remember seeing a teaser for it back in 2013, and thinking it looked cheesy but kind of likable, if you could get past the age gap. (And given that Singh Saab The Great paired Sunny with a girl who was officially 18, although Sunny made somewhat ungentlemanly hints in interviews that she wasn't THAT young, well...Kangna's an improvement.)

As long as Sunny isn't passed as a man under 45 it'll be okay lol. It seems Kangna is unhappy with this unplanned release (It had been shelved because the producer was unhappy with the end result). IMO they shouldn't release it in theatres but straight on TV on December 31st/DVD. They may be able to recover some of the invested money because I think this movie will flop like Milenge Milenge, Deewana Main Deewana or Ungly.

Kangana Ranaut slaps legal notice to block release of 'I Love NY'
Kangana Ranaut slaps a legal notice on T-Series to block the release of one of their old productions featuring her. An actor or actress ideally has no say in the release of a film, but it looks like Kangana Ranaut is out to prove a point. She had been upset with the makers of 'I Love NY' makers for allegedly riding piggyback on her recent success and trying to release the stuck-in-the-cans project without her permission. Now the actress has taken legal recourse and slapped a notice on T-Series, which produced the film, asking them withdraw the release. A copy of the notice is in hitlist's possession. Her lawyer, Rizwan Siddiquee, says: " It is very unfortunate that without even informing my client, T-Series has unilaterally decided to theatrically release an old film starring my client amongst others. The film was originally abandoned by T-Series for almost six years, as it was not up to the mark and therefore, not commercially viable. It is obvious that T-series is trying to cash in on the current situation for personal gains and therefore, in discharge of their moral duty they neither informed my client nor asked her to promote the said film." He goes on to say that Kangana had been assured that I Love NY, in which she was paired opposite Sunny Deol, will "never be released". "Despite that, the act of belatedly and unilaterally releasing the film amounts to willful breach of trust. This would hamper the name and image of my client. In my notice, I have asked them to stop the release of the film, as was verbally assured to my client on numerous occasions." The legal notice also states that the actress was neither paid for the project nor given a copy of the agreement. - See more at: www.mid-day.com/articles/kangana-ranaut-slaps-legal-notice-to-block-release-of-i-love-ny/16315155#sthash.EP21LMO3.dpuf

Who Is Sunny Deol Calling Spoilt?
A lot has been said about the film I Love NY, which has been stalled for a few years now due to various reasons. While the producers are cashing in on Kangana Ranaut’s recent success, it isn’t just Kangana who is miffed with them. Apparently, co-star Sunny Deol has reason to be mighty angry too! The film was to release a few years ago but didn’t and now the makers have released a new trailer making the film look like a woman-centric film. In fact, they are planning to release it as soon as next month without notifying the actors.
According to the leading Indian daily Asian Age, Sunny allegedly has been venting his frustration, “I don’t know what Mr Bhushan (Kumar, proprietor of T-Series) is doing here. He keeps on releasing the trailer, but not the film. They have damaged the film. To me he looks like a rich child who is spoilt. I wasn’t even aware that it’s (the film) releasing.”
Wonder if Sunny will follow Kangs' footsteps.

I can imagine the answer from T-Series: It is not unfortunate: it is deliberate. "Up to the mark" and "commercially viable" are not synonymous terms. T-Series is a business; we exist to make personal gains. All who work for us, including actors, know this. Thank you for stipulating that we have done our "moral duty." Verbal assurances are worth no more than the paper they are printed on. Dancelover (as if he were a lawyer) Kangana Ranaut slaps a legal notice on T-Series to block the release of one of their old productions featuring her.
