Ritesh Sidhwani (the producer) about the filming locations : "I've got Banglore Delhi Goa Shimla till now as the possible location for #Rockon2. Sab Galat hai (all options are wrong). Come on try harder. Shillong it is," he tweeted.  Abhishek Kapoor Rock On director is suing Excel Entertainment
Rock On!! director Abhishek Kapoor has moved the Bombay High Court to stall the making of the sequel to the film, claiming that he had been working on it since September 2011 and accusing Farhan's production house Excel Entertainment of giving writer Pubali Chaudhuri sole credit for the script. Farhan, however, maintained that Abhishek and he were still friends. He said, "I would much rather the court decide since its gone there. I have nothing to say. He's a friend of mine and I don't want to talk about him in public." As far as Rock On 2 is concerned, Farhan says filming will begin in August and the movie will release next year. |

Shraddha Kapoor to start prep for 'Rock On 2' soon!
Shraddha Kapoor is all set to visit Shillong where she will begin her preparations for the film
Shraddha Kapoor is trying to be fully involved in the prep of her next film Rock On 2. The actress is trying to soak into her character to get a better perception.
North East is known for a vibrant indie band culture. Youth out there, are very talented, especially when it comes to small indie rock bands. Shraddha wants to go and obtain the feel of the place before she starts the shoot. She plans to meet people and the band artists to understand nuances of her character.
Shraddha feels, going and meeting people of Shillong will not only assist her understand her character well, but will give her a lifetime experience. For her, travelling to different places and meeting people always helps in terms of individual growth as well. The young actress who loves and understand music, is very excited to work in her next Rock On 2.
Says Shraddha "There are a lot of talented artists in Shillong and I would really like to meet them. I am sure spending time with them would be a great learning experience.

Shraddha-Farhan’s ‘Rock On 2’ to release in September 2016
Shraddha Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar starrer ‘Rock On 2’ is all set to release in September 2016. The film, which is a sequel to the 2008 hit film ‘Rock On’, will go on-floors in August 2015 in Shillong. While Farhan Akhtar will be reprising his role of a musician, Shraddha is a new addition to the cast. According to a report in Mid Day, actor-producer Farhan Akhtar was quoted saying, “We will start shooting for the sequel in August this year and are planning to release the film sometime around September next year.” ‘Rock On 2’ also stars Arjun Rampal in the lead and is being produced by Excel Entertainment. In fact, the musical trio of Shankar Ehsaan and Loy has already started recording the music of the film. If the reports are to be believed, Shraddha, who will be seen opposite Farhan for the first time, will also be lending her voice to the music of the movie, given her penchant for singing. |
