I love Hindi songs, but often they have English lyrics that are, at best, out of place. I thought it might be fun to have a thread with songs that contain amusing English lyrics. I recently heard a song from Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's recent pop album, Back 2 Love (the title could only be better if, "Love", were spelt "Luv"). The song is called Sharab-E-Husn, and is actually not a bad song. THEN we get the following English lyrics from a random female singer: Love me flirty, Eat me dirty, Make me feel out of this world. I'd recommend the song anyway, it's catchy, but those lyrics in the middle of the song made me burst out laughing. Have any of you come across similarly hilarious examples? If so, please share!

Not TOO silly but every time the English chorus kicks in during "It's the Time to Disco," I always laugh out loud. It just feels out of place!

Yes, I liked that one, too, when it came out. 'Disco' is such a dated term for me that it seemed funny in a quaint way. Speaking of dated, one of my older funny Hinglish songs is What is mobile number.

In the Hindi version of The Power of Love, in the chorus - two words sound english. To my ears it sounds like Disco Diva. It might actually be Hindi though. Anyway lets see what you think.

The song over the end credits of Bobby Jasoos has a chorus that goes: "Sweetyyyyyy/Can't you seeee/That I'm dancingggg/For theeee?" Hilarious. Possibly intentionally.

Thanks for the second link, Sunset. Actually, I didn't notice any English lyrics in that song. Whereabouts in the song do you hear it?

The line "Excuse me to please" from "My Name is Ali" (Dhoom 2) always makes me snort. Probably because I imagine Uday Chopra's face when I hear it!
