Hello, fellow Bollywhat members! To be honest, this is the first forum for Bollywood films that I have joined, and I don't know why it has taken me so long since I am a huge fan of these films. In any case, I'm glad that I finally did.
I'm honestly not sure which Bollywood film I have seen first. Being from Afghanistan, Bollywood films are extremely popular here, and it's sort of our "go-to" cinema (partially because our own cinema is not very good, to say the least lol), if you will. So ever since I can remember, I've sat down with my family and watched all the latest Bollywood film releases. Even though we have since immigrated to the US, we still prefer Bollywood as our main film industry, so we've never stopped watching these films even though we left our home country. I grew up with the 90s Bollywood films, so I am more partial towards the films and stars of that decade. Some of my favorite stars are Juhi Chawla, Shahrukh Khan, and Madhuri. I also absolutely love Nandita Das, but I don't know if it would be correct to count her, since she mainly prefers working in non-Bollywood films.
I'm very pretty excited to discuss everything Bollywood related with you guys!

Hello, Muska, and welcome! Know that Gulabi Gang, starring Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla, releases on March 7. Madhuri's Dedh Ishqiya (A Love & A Half) is in theaters now. Thank you dancelover! Yes, I am glad that Juhi and Madhuri are finally back, and I hope they continue to get offered more roles from now on. I will probably see Dedh Ishqiya with my family in the theater sometime this month. I was a little afraid that I would have to wait to see the movie on DVD, but I was very pleased to find out there is a theater in the vicinity that does play Bollywood movies.

Juhi was never 'away.' She was in Son Of Sardar last year (billed behind Ajay, Sanjay, and Sonakshi), and co-stared with Manisha Koirala a couple of years before that. She has been doing 'serious films' mostly. I believe she still owns about one-third of Red Chillie Productions (SRK majority owner). Madhuri insists that she was not 'away.' Perhaps she would admit to being on "maternity leave." Dancelover Thank you dancelover!
