Hello from Sunny California! I have been a Bollywood lover for about 7 years now! That is so amazing in itself! My how times flies, but that is for another thread!
My sister introduced me to Veer-Zaara and I have been hooked since. My husband teases that we don't watch movies anymore! We "read" them! For me, I started learning Hindi so that I could enjoy them even more. Hollywood just doesn't hold me much anymore.
Happy to be here and begin another learning venture into other film industries such as Kollywood and Tollywood! Mary Ann

Hello Mary Ann, glad to have you here! I have also been into Bollywood (a passion that I too share with my sister) for 7-8 years or so, although it was Lagaan, K3G and Devdas that got me hooked. I hope to see you on the Beyond Bollywood thread . I will try to post recs for South Indian cinema there if you are interested. But beware; once you are into SI cinema, there is no going back…

It is true..SI is very addictive especially if you love the masala genre. I would recommend starting with Siddharth's films and them maybe try Magadhera. And them maybe Mahesh Babu films.

Very cool that you decided to take up Hindi, Mary Ann. Be sure to post any questions you have in the Language Corner, or even just start a thread to chat and practice. Welcome aboard!

Welcome! I kind of wish I was in Sunny California right now! We're buried in snow in my neck of the woods...
