Hi again, for the 40th times! Gollywoppers, most of the time spelled gollywhoppers (see: urbandictionary topic, ) I guess it's a sort a word that can mean anything, or in this case is used by Peppermint Patty to name an imaginary desease. Do you use this word sometimes?

Do you use this word sometimes? Hi Patapin, I don't use that word. I do see the word "crud" used to describe various kinds of minor illnesses, such as "con crud" (the sickness one gets following attending a convention, presumably contracted from one of the other attendees).

Hi Dil Bert, I didn't know the word crud. And: very funny, the "con crud". I can't believe we live in the 21rst century. People are sometimes very strange.

Well, it can hardly be an imaginary disease, since she has it. She does not know the specific name, and doesn't much care (especially not while sick!), so she calls it gollywoppers. Note that the cartoonist may have dropped the 'h' merely to shorten the long word. He might also have turned a double letter into a single one. Dancelover Hi again, for the 40th times! You're right, dancelover Patty suffers from some illness, and it's only the name she gives that is imaginary.
