On the front of the newspaper an article about Bollywood workout dance classes. They gave a short 5 song playlist, it included Tattad Tattad, Ishqyaun Dhishqyaun, a song from Boss...
I forgot the rest. But glad to see Ramleela songs there.

I couldn't believe my luck in finding this Bollywood-themed top at a local thrift shop! Sadly it's not my size (it's an XS) so I've listed it on eBay & thought some of you Bollyfans might be interested! Here's the link: cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=181343684708insert code here insert code here

A couple of months ago, before my surgery, I was exercising at my local recreation center. When I was done and went downstairs I passed by a studio where some kind of aerobic dance class was being held... and they were dancing to Chammak Challo from Ra.One! It made me want to join that class (I generally don't go in for embarrassing myself in group dance-based exercise classes ).

Today I noticed an ad at a bus stop featuring none other than Aishwarya Rai and advising us to celebrate Bollywood beauty.

On the old forums, I believe someone mentioned that there is a poster of 90s-era Suneil Shetty inside an counter service restaurant at the Animal Kingdom in Disney World? The More Casual Fan spotted it on our recent trip there and asked me if that was young Amitabh! Managed to set the MCF straight ("Okay, you remember that movie where Akki was a marriage detective making trouble for three philanderers? Remember the goofy philanderer, not the one you think looks like Tim Curry, not the big-haired one married to Bollywood Emma, the OTHER one...?") It was a cool moment though.

It's credited as an "Indian pop source", so I think it's from a private pop album rather than Bollywood. It's difficult to find the name of the artist just like it is for the sample Selena Gomez used.

Wow. Trippy. The composer's site just calls it "Indian Pop Source", but after a bit of youtubing to figured out what it reminded me of, I have to say that to me it sounds like a mashup of Bhangra Bistar and Ishq Hi Hai Rab from Dil Bole Hadippa. The lyrics don't match though.

The Biblical Queen Esther? LOL, I always imagined her looking more like Aishwarya circa Kandukondain, or present-day Tamannaah maybe, not Kajol Devgn

Yup the Biblical Queen! I was a bit surprised since most of the illustrations were either paintings or ink drawings. Now forever more, I'll picture Kajol.

I've had a few Bollywood moments with my favorite T.V. show The Office. One was obviously the Diwali episode, where they're playing songs from movies like DDLJ and Veer-Zaara at the party. Another was just now, where I realized that Omi Vaidya is the IT guy in Season 2. I screamed "Chatur!" at my screen. Too funny!
