This is a gangster/male bonding movie about two young men who are involved in the 70s/80s coal mafia in Kolkatta. (probably with a side order of love triangle.) It's a Yash Raj films production, from Ali Abbas Zafar, the director of Mere Brother ki Dulhan. The teaser trailer just came out:

Pictures from Priyanka's cabaret number in the film. Not sure about the feathers Sohail Sen (What's Your Raashee?, Ek Thai Tiger) is the musical director. I do wonder if Ranveer will be able to create two distinct hyper-masculine characters with Ram-leela and this.

Ek Tha Tiger didn't do a whole lot for me in the musical department, but that's true of a lot of YRF soundtracks (did you know that Badtameez Dil, arguably the best song of 2013, was supposedly offered to Aditya Chopra for Dhoom 3 and he turned it down? That tell you everything right there, doesn't it?) As far as whether Ranveer will be able to make this character different from his Ram, I don't know that it particularly matters. His fans will enjoy it either way, and his haters will bash his performance no matter what he does.

The big band jazzy influence is one off for the YJHD music, but it's what they're channeling for a character like Aamir's in Dhoom 3. You're right, it doesn't matter too much, but as I a fan, I want to see what he can do with the two. This movie seriously looks like a blast. Abundance movie action, big dance numbers, pretty costumes, Irrkan Khan. But I'm going to keep a count of how many pecs rippling in slowmo shots we get

Thanks for the trailer, rubicon! Looks like good fun. Everything one wants in a movie, except possibly a happy ending.

Doesn't seem to have a romance linkup albeit the lusty clips of Peecee . And all the guns after Ram Leela may be too soon. Gunday IS the title so it is to be expected. I like the male jodi Ranveer and Arjun though.

Already clear this movie has huge amount of energy!
Do we know if they're biological brothers in this? I hope not because I foresee a slash fandom for this movie.

I remember not being that impressed by the romantic picturizations in MBKD, and it looks like the director is continuing that trend here. Ranveer and Priyanka do look nice though.
