Why a court martial? Had they joined Subhash Chandra Bose's "Indian National Army" which was composed of Indian soldiers in the British-Indian Army who's been captured by the Japanese and then had gone over to their captors? Dancelover Director : Tigmanshu Dhulia Cast :

I don't know but I suppose it was because the defendants were to be punished under the military law as they were guilty of waging war against the King. Why a court martial? I just checked Wikipedia. I find that the answer is yes. They had joined, and fought in, the pro-Japanese Indian National Army.
