Hello, fellow filmi fans. Considering the excellent Wiki projects things like Star Trek and Star Wars have, I've long felt it disappointing that there wasn't some sort of Bollywood-specific IMDb sort of Wiki (unless there is, and I've not found it), but never really thought to look for a forum about it. Then I found one, so hi!

Hi Geradium, welcome to the forum. I've never heard of a Wiki project for Bollywood, either, though I haven't searched much for one! Like you, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was my first Hindi film. I remember watching it when I didn't understand Hindi and there were no subtitles! Luckily, my friend kept me in the loop, and honestly, the plot wasn't too hard to follow. Still, it was intriguing enough to draw me in and here I am. Looking forward to your posts. James

When I first saw Kuch Kuch Hota Hai with subtitles, after having seen it a few times without, I was surprised at having correctly interpreted most scenes. Unfortunately haven't managed to learn Hindi since then, but I have a few unsubtitled films waiting for me on DVD for when I eventually do.

Welcome, Geradium! Wikipedia has many articles about Bollywood, and the entire Indian Film Industry. Articles about individual movies, and articles about individual artists, cross-referenced with each other. Also general articles about about the sub-industries in various languages: Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, etc. Internet Movie Database has articles about Indian artists and movies, cross-referenced, too. Welcome Geradium, hope you enjoy the forum.
I've been watching Indian films for about 4 years now - I watch mainly Indian now rather than Hollywood. I live near Adelaide, South Australia.
