Hi again, our strip of the day talks about astronomy: ![](http://i86.servimg.com/u/f86/16/65/79/11/comma_10.jpg) I understand that Sally confuses comma with comet, but for what purpose does she say he wrote a lot at home ? Is it because she alsooo is often practising her writing (as in ![](https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/94/cf/4b/94cf4b378be8693766e12e957f0384b0.jpg) )?

![](http://i86.servimg.com/u/f86/16/65/79/11/comma_10.jpg) I understand that Sally confuses comma with comet, but for what purpose does she say he wrote a lot at home ? The comic says "wrote home a lot," i.e., wrote to his home a lot. The one idea the comic brings to mind is when starting a personal letter, one uses a comma, i.e. "Dear Sally," whereas a business letter would use a colon: "Dear Ms Simpson:".

Hi Dil Bert, so it's me who confuse "write at home" and "write (to) home"! Thank you for your precisions and your example. I didn't know this difference about personal and business letters, this is very specialized and interesting.
