Hello all!
I am an indian movie fan for over 6 years now and watch films from bollywood as well as south indian industries. This is my first time participating in an online forum though. I have recently moved out of my country and now I feel more than ever the need to communicate with people about what I watch!
My favorite period of bollywood cinema is the 80's and early 90's. I especially enjoy watching Madhuri Dixit, Sridevi and Anil Kapoor old movies. But I also enjoy the new stuff that is coming out.
I look forward to sharing filmi experiences!
PS: Can we discuss south indian movies in this forum as well? If not, do you know any specialized english speaking forums for that? Thanks!

bollylitsa, Welcome to the forum! I've recently gotten into South Indian films after watching Baahubali, and besides my Prabhas obsession I've even been exploring Malayalam films lately. As MrB said, the two places you'll find discussion of South Indian films are Beyond Bollywood and Latest Film watched. I'm always looking for recommendations of South Indian films, since I'm such a newbie in regional films. Looking forward to discussing Indian cinema with you.

Hi moviemavengal! Yes, Malayalam cinema is currently one of the best I think, more realistic and human stories than the rest industries. If you haven't done so already, watch Dulquer Salmaan's movies, especially Bangalore Days and Ustad Hotel. He is the current hearthrob, as well as a good actor. Both movies have great music too, the composer Gopi Sunder, is terrific. Tamil cinema is also very interesting, Dhanush's movies are usually very good, last favorite of mine was VIP (Velaiyilla Pattathari), lots of laugh, great music and a good story. I don't know if I should post here about South India cinema, maybe we should continue the conversation at the threads that have been mentioned? Sorry for my ignorance, first time in forum! |
