Since there's a similar thread in the South Indian films category, I thought I'd make one for Bollywood as well. Also, I do have a question to ask you lovely people. I super like Imran Khan, in the small amount I've seen him (trailers, that AIB video mocking homophobes, appearances, etc.) but I've never actually seen him in a movie...there's a bunch on Netflix and I'd like to give one a spin before if/when I go see Katti Batti. (holy run-on sentence dude) So I guess my question is this: of all the Imran Khan films you have seen, which one did you like best? Which one is worth investing a few hours in? Thanks in advance

You're spoilt for choice with Imran Khan, who's been in three of my all-time favourites. Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na is smart, funny, and everything a romcom should be, with the bonus of the two less famous Khan brothers doing a great cameo. Delhi Belly is hilarious, rude and probably the best comedy of recent years. I'm also a big fan of Break Ke Baad, which I can watch over and over, though that's not a widespread view. Mere Brother Ki Dulhan is also fun, and Matru Ki Bijli Ka Mandola is odd but very interesting. Imran does play pretty much the same character every time, but he does it well.

I haven't seen all of Imran's films but of the ones that I have seen my favourites are Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and Ek Main Aur Ekk tu. The film in which I found him the most convincing, for some strange reason, was Matru Ki Bijli Ka Mandola.

Thanks guys! I think I'll go with Mere Brother Ki Dulhan first as it's easily available on Netflix and it looks pretty decent. Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na I might buy on DVD if I don't find anywhere to stream it...that's the movie that interests me the most.

If you're a fan of the singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, then the song, Isk Risk, from Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, is a must. I've always liked it, I think it was the big hit of that film's album, too. The actual song on the album sounds a little different, it's been edited for the movie here, and I prefer the album cut, but it's still good in the music video. I like the mix of the talented singer's vocals and the rhythmic lyrics. I agree with what's been said that MBKD is not bad, and to an Imran fan, probably quite enjoyable. Out of the movies of his I've seen, I've probably enjoyed Delhi Belly the most, but that kind of somewhat crass humour amuses me perhaps more than others. I also second the recommendation for Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, though it was really just candy floss entertainment. I must say, I haven't seen many of his movies in recent years, so I have a somewhat limited knowledge of his filmography, though.

I love Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and that song is delightful.

I agree with most of the comments here. Some of Imran's "best movies" [sadly] are :
- Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na : Good acting overall, good pacing and storyline. Also the movie is fresh.
- Mere Brother Ki Dulhan : Imran and Katrina acting is good and the story entertaining. Plus the songs are good.
- Delhi Belly : Imran plays a character different from what he usually does.
- Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu : It's an unconventional romcom. Imran and Kareena suits their role perfectly.
- Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandela : It's VB movie, the acting is good (even though Imran isn't the best thing about the movie) and the songs are catchy.

Might be an unpopular opinion but I have only liked two of Imran Khans movies: Mere Brother Ki Dulhan & Break Ke Baad. JTYN was a bit boring for me, but I think Imran is always helped very much by his female costars, and Katrina & Deepika were great in those movies.

I'm one of the "few" Imran Khan fangirls out there. I've liked almost everything he's been in and my favorites are MBKD (probably my favorite one of his...even made me like Katrina), Matru Ki... (so oddly appealing and I really liked his pairing with Anushka Sharma), Ek Main Aur Ek Tu, I Hate Luv Storys (there's this one scene where he's staring daggers at the "competition" and swoon...), and I even liked the recent one Gori... with Kareena. Also think he was great in Delhi Belly.

I like Imran. Not *love*, but like. Katti Batti was ok, but I really liked MBKD. HOWEVER, my love of MBKD really stems from Kat's performance and my undying crush on Ali Zafar, not quite on Imran's merit. Maybe I'll find a film where I *love* him!
