This is a youth oriented thriller about a group of friends (Mohit, Vijender, Kiaara Advani, and Arfi Lamba) who end up on the run from a corrupt cop (Jimmy). There's some kind of social commentary angle to it as well. Produced by Grazing Goat, their first Hindi production since OMG. It's releasing June 13, 2014 (yes, a week after co-producer Akki's film Holiday, no I don't know why anyone thinks that's a good idea).
There's a lot of cronyism going on here. This is a pet project of writer-director Kabir Sadanand, that never got off the ground until his friend Dimple Kapadia managed to get her son-in-law Akshay and his Grazing Goat business partner Ashwini Yardi interested. (I was hoping Dimple actually had a role in the movie but that appears to not be the case). Mohit is the son of Anil and Boney Kapoor's sister, cousin of Akki's sometime costar Sonam, and is also a mildly successful model Ms. Yardi happens to find attractive. Vijender is a former boxer Akki is a fan of, Kiaara is Saeed Jaffery's grandniece and her family is friends with Ashwini and Salman, Salman and Akki are doing a guest appearance in the video for the title song, which is by Honey Singh, who probably wouldn't have a Bollywood career if it weren't for Khiladi 786.
I have some faith in Ashwini's script selection abilities-she was a bigshot at Colors TV at one time. Mohit seems more conventionally handsome than cousin Arjun and gives off a somewhat warmer vibe, and Jimmy seems pleased with how his villainous role shaped up. But mostly I'm just kind of ugh about all the Bollywood wheeling and dealing involved.
