Looks to me like a pullover V-neck mini-dress. Going swimming in street clothes seems to be fashionable this summer, but I don't understand Fashion. D

teaser:
Wowzers. I'd been rather meh on the poster, and there's been some blind items from Box Office India (which tends to focus on business shenanigans rather than people's private lives) suggesting that Fox Star was not entirely happy with the way the movie was shaping up, but dang. Some of the action scenes are derivative, yes, but the rest are rocking, and their chemistry is amazing.

Thanks for posting this , Odadune - I'm really underwhelmed now... Does anyone else see shades of Dhoom 2 and Kites in the action bits? Hrithik on the motorcycle with Kat facing him is a direct callback to the intensely sexy scene with him and Aish (in the exact same position) and the getaway scene is also reminiscent of him and Barbara Mori in Kites. I'm weak when it comes to a Hrithik action flick ( although I wouldn't go near Krrish 3 with a ten foot pole.. ) so I know I'll go see this one, but man, this teaser does nothing for me. What I'm sure of is that in spite of all its obvious problems this will be a more exciting movie than the original one.

The man-on-motorbike-with-woman-facing-him has been used in Hindi films for a long time. Maybe it's inspired by actual Indian traffic, but without the two children, a couple of cooking gas cylinders, and a goat that would accompany them in real life. I'm quite looking forward to it and, as you say, it has to be better than the original.

Some of the action scenes are derivative, yes, but the rest are rocking, and their chemistry is amazing. I wouldn't believe everything that BOI prints about this movie. For the longest time they kept printing stories about how this film was not going to make it's October 2nd release date, which is probably what prompted the makers of Haider and Mary Kom to pick this date, with Mary Kom later moving to September. They printed stories about how the Abu Dhabi schedule of the movie had been postponed, even though the movie was being shot as planned and local Abu Dhabi papers were carrying articles about the shoot. Now they have started saying that the movie is grossly over budget and that the studio is not happy with the results, claims that are harder to disprove than an allegedly delayed schedule. It seems clear to me that BOI is intent on running this film down. Perhaps it is left over animosity from last year's Krrish 3 BO collections controversy. It is my observation that BOI has certain pet stars that they like to promote and others that they like to pull down. They appear to have a long-standing grouse against Hrithik. Back in 2012 they were eager to write off Agneepath, claiming that the movie had crashed on the 2nd day and the audience had obviously rejected it, and had egg on their face when the movie did much better than they were claiming.

newbiefan: yeah, I'd forgotten how biased BOI can be, that's a good point. Interesting interview with the Fox Star team-they talk about a bunch of their upcoming and past projects, but I was particularly interested by their discussion of how Bang Bang drew on early versions of the Knight and Day script and their hints that it has evolved in a different direction from the American film. www.boxofficeindia.co.in/star-power/There is also a weird rumor going around that we will get the first song video by the end of the month, complete with Dancing!Hrithik, but I don't know how reliable the sources are.

First song video:
Hrithik dances and makes googley eyes at Katrina; song's incredibly generic but not much to complain of in the visuals.

Wow, that song is awful. The beat drop actually hurts my ears. The styling and choreography is pretty phoned in. Why do they insist on dressing Hrithik like he's mid 2000s r&b/pop singer? He has two wallet chains, gah.

^ Totally agree. This is choreography of a high-school level that painfully underuses Bollywood's most exciting dancer. There might be more to the full version dance, but OTOH this could be some sort of compromise because Hrithik was quite unwell at the time, this might have been as much as he was allowed to do. Just guessing, of course...

I don't think it's too simple, but totally uninteresting and inartistic.
But it IS really hard to do good choreography for EDM. Ironically most modern dance music doesn't lend itself well to any kind of dancing other than jumping up and down.

Ironically most modern dance music doesn't lend itself well to any kind of dancing other than jumping up and down. I strongly disagree with you there - to say that any kind of music limits one's creativity is admitting defeat without even trying. A truly bold, imaginative choreographer can do wonders with any kind of music or lack thereof. It's all about making an effort to be creative, and here, clearly there's very little effort. I've seen dance classes set to EDM that took my breath away with their original, creative routines.

New song - Meherbaan Strong shades of Khuda Jaane with much less flavor. Seriously, Hrithik and Kat are like two cardboard cutouts walking along in perfect scenery. Zero emotion. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'll take the scrawny Ranbir's version over Hrithik's pretty-but-dull version.
