That was a question posed by Radio Tarana, and it made me wonder just how many buddy-buddy BW movies I've seen. Apparently not many. The examples Tarana listed are... Dharmendra and Amitabh Bachchan - Sholay Abishek Bachchan and John Abraham - Dostana Aamir Khan, Saif Ali khan and Akshay Khanna - Dil Chata Hai Akshay Kumar and John Abhraham - Desi Boyz Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan - Karan Arjun and Kuch Kuch Hota HaiI'd rule out the Dil Chata Hai one because a three-way jodi is just wrong , and also rule out any combos that involve family members, but I would add... Feroz Khan and Vinod Khanna - QurbaniSanjay Dutt and Arshad Wasi - Munnabhai MBBSSalman Khan and Akshay Kumar - Mujhse Shaadi KarogiPossibly also SRK and Vinay Pathak in RNBDJ, but I'm struggling to come up with many other male jodis, let alone ones that I liked. :/

I don't think Salman/SRK are much of a jodi in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai; if I recall correctly, they meet late in the film and barely know each other. Odd that they threw that one in there. My personal favorite (thus far) is Amitabh Bachchan and Vinod Khanna in Muqaddar Ka Sikandar. I remember thinking, after I saw that movie, "All this enthusiasm for the 'bromance' recently in Hollywood, and it turns out Bollywood perfected it long ago..." I do love SRK and Vinay Pathak in RNBDJ, though!

When it comes to the oldies, it's really hard to top the Amitabh and Dharmendra duo, although I also thought Shashi Kapoor and Sanjeev Kumar had great chemistry as brothers in Swayamvar, although their other films together don't really use that quality well.
Seconding the Rab Ne Bana de Jodi guys.
Still haven't seen MSK, but Akshay and Salman play well together in Jaan-e-mann as well. Really, though, Akki can "bromance" almost anyone-Bobby Deol, Paresh Rawal, Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, Riteish Deshmukh, etc...

AB and Dharmendra is my favorite and my second fave is Abhishek and John.
I actually like Salman best with Aamir (Andaz Apna Apna)

Clearly I'm going to have to watch more AB/Dharmendra pairings. I think the only one I've seen so far has been Chupke Chupke, and I didn't come away with much of a man-jodi view of them, though that may be due to the fact that I just didn't like the film itself.

Anil and Jackie. No competition. And it is a blasphemy they are not listed.

I hadn't really thought about it before, and it's OT, but maybe Akki is the best jodi partner around at the moment. He's great with all the men you mention, but has also had great chemistry with, off the top of my head, Priyanka, Kat and Kareena.

I don't know about best but when I read the topic title the first jodi I thought of was SRK and Saif in Kal Ho Na Ho.

Have to ad to the list: Naseerudin Shah as Khalujan and Arshad Warsi as Babban - in both Ishqiya and Dedh Ishqiya.

The first thing I think of is Abhishek and John. Their jodi transcends Dostana, they seem weirdly obsessed with each other offscreen as well

What about Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor in Gunday? Note: not kin to each other, but they're both cousins of Sonam Kapoor. Ranveer on her mother's side. Dancelover Have to ad to the list: Naseerudin Shah as Khalujan and Arshad Warsi as Babban - in both Ishqiya and Dedh Ishqiya.
