Queen is a romantic-comedy drama directed by Vikas Bahl in which Kangana plays a bride-to-be from the surburb of Delhi, who goes off on a honeymoon by herself after her marriage falls through. Additional cast : - Rajkummar Rao

Major parts of QUEEN have been shot in Amsterdam and Paris, with a few sequences canned in Delhi. As a simple woman, Kangana has gone de-glam for this role. Queen first teaser !

Very good promo! Kangana is excellent! Looks like this movie will allow her to shine I hope so, she'll surely need it if she wants to stay on top, especially since Rajjo was a flop. |

I cannot freaking wait for this. But I wish it had a different title. Queen is simply too common a word. Yeah, there are three kinds of bollywood titles that I hate because they're difficult to google: single-Hindi/Sanskrit-word titles that have been used for six different movies in three different languages since filmmaking came to the subcontinent, single/dual-English-word titles that can be used in any context at all (bonus points if they're tied to an ad slogan for a brand the Bollywood star endorses, so you can't google by title+actor name successfully), and very long, multi-word Hindi titles that just fall out of my poor English-speaking head when I see them, like whatever KANK stands for. I hope this does well for Kangna's sake because I've developed a bit of a soft spot for her recently, but the promos really haven't done anything for me. I think the background song in the trailer is the disco-themed Bindu item number from Anhonee 1973, FWIW. It was driving me crazy for a while because I recognized it but couldn't tell from where. |
