So I saw a friend post a picture of her new anklets on FB today. Nothing special...but I could not stop singing 'CHAMMA CHAMMA' over and over after I saw it.

...for the first time in ages, you download non-BW music on iTunes, discover that said songs are all under 7MB in size, and your first thought is that they only downloaded half the song.

I finally got Einthusian.com to work. First I had to learn how the tv and Hdml worked, Then came the cable fiasco. Best Buy sold me the wrong cables, so I thought it didn't work. Did more research. Exchanged cables. Still didn't work. Did more research. Yesterday I took the computer to Best Buy, which I should have done in the first place, and refused to leave until they had hooked the computer up to a tv and I saw it work.
In between all this, working, shopping! abd watching Hollywood. Sister wants to go see all the American ones. Phiomena was good, Inside Llewn Davis and Her were not so good. Wold of Wall Street today. Then back to Bollywood with my new service!!!!!!!
Then shopping some more even if we don't buy anything. The malls will be deserted as the Broncos are playing today. Fun for us. but hard to find salespeople as they will all be in the back and resentful anybody shows up. We do this outing stuff every time the Broncos play.

We do this outing stuff every time the Broncos play. But on the plus side, the shop assistants will now be in a good mood until the 2nd, and then in an even better mood after the Broncos beat Seattle. Enjoy your Bollywatching, corbie!

We ended up at Costco just as the game ended. All associates were huddled in the television section. The rest of the store was deserted. I had a really pretty orange shirt I was going to wear yesterday. Decided to wait until all this is over. We got married on a Sunday in January in 1988 and didn't realize it was going to be a play off game. Nobody said anything until that day! And we were in California. Upset a lot of people. Our reception ended up with people wandering into the other room to watch the Broncos. I really don't care for sports!

Netflix got rid of the "Foreign" category on my home page and replaced it with this:

The young man helping me at checkout at the toy store was wearing a name tag, but it was obscured by his collar at first so that I could only see that his name began with "Ad..." My brain immediately filled in "Aditya," despite the fact that this kid was very vanilla American white. (The name turned out to be Addison.)

There is a guy at work called Kieran, on the work tannoy system they asked "could Kieran please goto...."
All I could think of was if I was announcing it, then it would be really tempting not to pronounce the name as "k-k-k-k-k-k-kiran" from Darr
Though I think following it up by playing Jaadu Teri Nazar on a harmonica maybe pushing it a bit too far lol

When you're watching Family Feud and the question is "name a foreign film which has been shot in Greece" and your immediate reaction is Chalte Chalte followed by Bang Bang, Jodi Breakers and Game.

When you go to India and fuh-reak out more about the fact that you might not be able to make a trip to the dvd store than the fact that you almost die every time you get in a rickshaw.

You are watching Boyhood and there is a scene where the car is going down the road and the camera is above and for a minute you are sure they are on the wrong side of the road.

When you are watching the ads at the start of a movie (Hindi or Telugu), and you sit there smugly calling out "seen it!" or "already got a copy!"........to your pets. Sad, strange addiction. I'm sadder, because I don't even have any pets to share that kind of knowledge with, so I just say them out loud to myself. Not so much whether I have/seen the film or not, but when they do a fast montage of various dvd releases, or songs from a compilation, I sit there saying which films/songs they are, who the actors are, yada yada. Should I have confessed that in public...? This totally warms my heart ~ I 100% do this, too. You are not alone.

When every open-ended school assignment is an opportunity to allude to an Indian movie. Just some of the connections I've managed to sneak in - Delhi Belly while discussing global Englishes in an English class; Why This Kolaveri Di to explain code switching in an intercultural communication class; Peepli Live in a paper about agriculture in North India... the list goes on! I'm quite proud of myself, actually. ;D
