When I want a movie to watch the first ones I think of are Hindi even if I've seen them several times before.

... when your friends say "let´s go to the cinema" and you refuse because there is no Bollywood film ever screened in this country and you cannot think of anything else you would like to watch!

...when you are driving through a small country town called Kaniva and you start singing 'the Lungi Dance' to yourself substituting Kaniva for Thalaivaa. My brain works in a funny way sometimes.

SS, you just made me lol. I've also had Lungi Dance as an earworm. Lord knows what people think when they hear me muttering, 'Don't angry me...mind it!' as I walk down the street!

When you're reading through the just-released stats and info from your country's latest census, discover that Hindi is now the fourth most commonly spoken language in New Zealand, and your first reaction is to feel smug/justified at watching all those Bollywood films.

When I want a movie to watch the first ones I think of are Hindi even if I've seen them several times before. This is so true it's painful. I don't want to think about "The Lungi Dance" song, one day last week it was the last song playing in my truck before I got out to go to work..........10hr shift of it was a bit much, and it is an ear worm. When you are watching the ads at the start of a movie (Hindi or Telugu), and you sit there smugly calling out "seen it!" or "already got a copy!"........to your pets. Sad, strange addiction.

I'm sadder, because I don't even have any pets to share that kind of knowledge with, so I just say them out loud to myself. Not so much whether I have/seen the film or not, but when they do a fast montage of various dvd releases, or songs from a compilation, I sit there saying which films/songs they are, who the actors are, yada yada. Should I have confessed that in public...?

Been lurking more than posting. Spending much time on Reddit researching the paleo. I am going through withdrawals. No movie has come here for a month. No new one has come up on Netflix. All extra pennies have been spent at the after holiday sales at the clothes store. Discovered Lucky Brand.
The shopping marathons were fun. We walk into a store and the saleslady says may I help you find something? I say yes, I am looking for sales on tops that look like a wall hanging out of an Indian Bollywood film. Still losing, so was careful to buy stuff that will still look great with less weight or can be altered smaller. Hippie clothes back!

What? When did they go away? They're still in my wardrobe, maxie skirts, gauze tops, faded jeans, wild prints! Now that I think of it, no wonder my kids and grankids are afraid to go places with me, LOL,
