Another Prabhas fangirl! Yay!
Welcome to the club moviemavengal
I've seen all his movies except the first two and Baahubali. I'm dying to see it but we never get any Indian movies shown here so I'll have to wait for the dvd.
I would definitely give Chakram and Adavi Ramudu a miss. If you want to see them just so you can see his whole filmography ok otherwise I wouldn't bother.
My favourite Prabhas movies are:
Varsham - Or as I like to call it - the rain loves Prabhas. It is a bit violent in parts but it does have some nice songs and picturisations, and a cute romance between Prabhas and Trisha.
Pournami - some scenes are a little silly but there's a great fight scene between Prabhas and Rahul Dev. Also the last dance scene is also great. These two scenes are more than worh it. Of course, there's other good things about this movie - not just these two scenes.
Bujjigadu - I liked the bromance between Bujji and Sivanna. Parts of it were really funny - I don't know if they were meant to be but some of the dialogues were hilarious. Once again, te rain loves Prabhas. This is one of those movies with medicine only found in Indian movies; in one scene Prabhas breaks his leg; he doesn't go to the doctor or the hospital but is seen manipulating the bones and his leg is as good as new and he's running around fighting.
Ek Niranjan - Sonu Sood and his scarves
Although I really liked this, I can't think of anything to say.
Chatrapathi - Yes, the cgi shark won me over
Yogi - One of the posters in the old forum said that anyone who could sit through Yogi must be a true Prabhas fan. I guess that I must be since, not only did I sit through i,t but I actually liked it.
A few comments on his other films.
Billa - I thought he was convincing as Ranga but didn't pull off the mafia/don look. As Ranga, he made a sexist/double standardy comment which didn't endear me to the character. This was one of my first Southern movies so I didn't know about the lmited gender roles (I tried to put it as politely as I could).
Munna - I know a lot of people like this movie but I always found it average. Plus they straightened his hair!!!!!! No, no, no, no, no!
Darling - First of all, this film has Kajal whom I don't particularly like so that a strike already. It had some really nice scenes with the comedy uncles. It's been a while since I've seen this so I don't remember the dubious gender politics that odadune was referring to. For me, Darling is always the film with the questionable wardrobe. Ok so Prabhas has never been known for wearing smashing clothes but the clothes in Darling are pretty bad; so bad in fact that one of the posters on the old forum conducted a poll as to which was the most horrible item of clothing that he wore. Worth a watch but not a must-see.
Mr Perfect - Not only does this star Kajal but it also stars Tapsee whom I also don't particularly like. I agree with Odadune about the dubious gender politics - other than stalking, it has my absolute worst scenario that is often used in love stories (one of the two, usually the girl, changes their likes and dislikes so as to be with the object of their affection). Also, in the end, Prabhas says somethig weird (I forget what) which didn't make sense. I didn't particularly like this one though he did look good but that's a given.
Rebel - A run-of-the-mill revenge flick. Also the movie in which Tamannaah is dressed as a cowboy boots wearing Brazilian cheerleader in one scene.
Mirchi - For some reason I always confuse this one with Darling - I don't know why, they are completely different movies with different heroines. Mirch stars Anushka Shetty whom I really like. It has a non-violent message which I like; this is not to say that it doesn't have any fights because it does. A decent movie to pass away the time. On a totally superficial note, I think Mirchi is the movie in which Prabhas looks the best. Ok, so he always looks good but he looks extra good here
