Harshvardhan Kapoor to play the lead in Sriram Raghavan’s next DECCAN CHRONICLE. | SUBHASH K JHA The actor will portray a musician who fakes his blindness in Sriram Raghavan’s thriller. Harshvardhan Kapoor may not have a single release as yet, but he is already being noticed by filmmakers. After completing his debut film, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Mirzya, Harshvardhan has already started work on his second film, Vikramaditya Motwane’s Bhavesh Joshi, which the actor is currently shooting in Mumbai. Recent reports say that he’s been finalised for Sriram Raghavan’s next film, an edgy dark thriller about a musician, who fakes his own blindness. A source says, “It is surprising that after their collaborative success in Badlapur, Sriram and Varun Dhawan are not getting together again. It is Harshvardhan whom the director wants for his next, a film about a musician who fakes his blindness.” The actor is keen to plunge into his third challenge, the only hitch being the dates. “Sriram wants to start at the end of the year. But Harshvardhan won’t start another film until he completes Bhavesh Joshi,” the source added. Sriram’s film will also star Tabu. |

Harshvardhan Kapoor opts out of Sriram Raghavan's dark comedy

After 'Mirzya' Harshvardhan Kapoor was to be seen in Sriram Raghavan's edgy, dark comedy-thriller. But reports suggest that the actor has opted out of the project. The untitled film is about a musician who fakes being blind and also stars Tabu. According to sources, Sriram was keen to cast Harsh for his film but as all dates were with Motwane and Harsh had committed to them earlier, the actor could not manage dates for this project. There was also news that, Sriram wanted Harsh to attend workshops while shooting for Motwane's film and that was impossible as Harsh was concentrating on the character in Motwane's film where he plays a vigilante. Since Harsh could have given dates to Sriram only next year, Sriram could not wait and so Harsh decided to bow out from the film. |

She wrote, “#ShootThePianoPlayer over the moon to be working together with #SriramRaghavan again!! @ayushmannk #Tabu.” While Ayushmann is collaborating with Sriram for the first time, Radhika has worked with the director in 2015 release Badlapur, which starred Varun Dhawan in the lead role. Ayushmann shared the news about the film on Instagram. He posted a picture of him playing the piano which hints that it is him who is to be killed but who would kill him? Well, we have to wait and watch. Apart from Radhika and Ayushmann, Tabu will also be seen in the film. Sriram loves to explore the grey side of a character. Varun Dhawan, who was always seen in student role or boy-next-door kinda characters, proved his mettle as an actor in Badlapur, where he turned into a serial murderer due to some events in his life. So, it would be interesting to see what Ayushmann’s character has in store for us. The Meri Pyaari Bindu actor made the announcement on Instagram during the ICC Champions Trophy finale between India and Pakistan. He captioned it as, “I missed the match.
