Circus (*ing Sonakshi Sinha & Suniel Shetty)

Parineeti is Indeed becoming annoying with her obsession over her "new", healthier body. She's not the first nor the last person or actress to undergo this kind change. She should at least try being inspiring instead of annoying. 

Circus' might really be an interesting movie as Kangana was at one point linked to this project. But a good idea if not well executed can turn out to be a disaster. 
I also hope the movie will have great performances regarding the acrobatics and that it won't turn out being wannabe-ish. 

This movie is Indeed risqué for Parineeti but if this works out well, the success will be put on her account as she is the most relevant actor of the cast. 
Parineeti as two other movies coming up, YRF's Meri Pyaari Bindu and Homi Adajania's Tadakum so she's in the safe zone seeing the backing she has. 

I'm with you for the matures love stories. There is so much to be said in such movies. I'd love Kajol and Shahrukh or Rani and Abhishek to star in such movies. 
Sadly, it seems that Bollywood is more stuck into rom-coms instead of real romances. 

Parineeti did have movie offers ; actually she used to be in a better position than Alia and Shraddha. She was offered Piku first and many other movies which she rejected or that didn't materialized.

Parineeti has never been pressurized to lose weight. Actually she was compared to the likes of Kajol and Rani who weren't known to be size 0 but dominated the industry with their talent. Alright, she wasn't known for being one of the glamourous one but directors wanted to work with her.
She took a break on her own accord when her movies flopped and that her attempts at being glamourous failed (her role in Kill Dil was no better than a flowerpot). Let's not forget that she's the one who claimed that Sonakshi was fatter than her... I mean really !?!

Parineeti has always been obsessed by her body. I'm sure the media played a role and that being the cousin of the hottie Priyanka didn't help.
It's good if she feels better in her skin but she doesn't need to talk about it 24/7.


The main problem with her co-star beside his acting and his failed launch is that he's part of the scandal in Jiah Khan's suicide. So he has a lot of detractors.

Let's see how it will unfold. It's indeed complicated to say if the movie will be on par with the expetations be it because of the direction or acting. After all, it's not a theme that we see a lot in Bollywood, save some songs.

If she says yes, the film could feature a reunion for the actress — with her debut co-star, Sooraj Pancholi

With Parineeti Chopra walking out of choreographer Bosco Martis’s Circus, Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty seem set for a reunion, if all goes well. The Shetty girl is in talks for the musical drama, and Sunil Shetty too is part of this film.

Circus features a baap-beti jodi’s troubled yet loving relationship. Also, if it works out, this would be the first time the real-life father-daughter pair would star in a film together. Says a source, “Circus is the emotional story about a father and a daughter; both trapeze artists. Sunil has been selective in signing on films in the last few years, but he immediately said yes to this one.” The story spans a decade. It would be interesting to check out Sunil-Athiya’s screen presence.


Scripting for Circus began a year ago and it revolves around the dying craze for the circus. “Sooraj and Athiya would be seen doing some daredevil acts and there is also a romantic track between the two,” adds the source.

The film rolls this December and will have action sequences and dance performances with fire and water acts. The film is being planned on a grand scale with international circus artists being flown down to be part of the film,” the source says.

Athiya hasn't been in demand since her failed launch with Hero so I presume  the chances she does this movie are high. At he moment, he only has Anil and Arjun's Mubaraka in hand ; even then she'll share the screen withtwo other actresses (Ilena and Anil's love interest).

True! Well I also hope it'll work out for her. Athiya didn't seem to have been flooded by offers after Hero even though she was the best thing about the movie. 

She should campaign harder to have movies. 

I hope she'll be able to impress with Circus but I fear having Sooraj Pancholi as her costar might not work out great. Their pairing previously failed to impress and he's marred in controversies regarding Jiah's death.
