Undoubtedly, this is the casting coup of the century. Every producer’s favourite fantasy — Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan together in one film — is going to come true soon. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala is the one who has beaten all the other dream merchants to bringing the Khan triumvirate of superstars in the same frame. According to a source close to Nadiadwala, “Sajid has decided to produce a film which will star the three Khan superstars. He may even direct the film himself, though that would depend entirely on the nature of the subject. The film will go on the floors in January 2017 and release in December 2017.”
Apparently Sajid N. wants to do something along the lines of Amar Akhbar Antony.
Do you think it'll be possible?
Personaly, I don't because : 1) Khans tend to take a percentage of the profit so in the end what will remain for the producer? 2) Finalising the scenario will be complicated (In Andaz Apna Apna Aamir and Salman have the same number of dialogues & for Fanaa, both Aamir and Kajol wanted the scenario to be re-written so that they wouldn't be outshined by the other) 3) The 3 Khans wouldn't want to be compared 4) Which one of the three will steal the limelight of the other two?

Nothing in the story says that any of the Three Khans has signed, or even expressed interest. Subhash Jha, the article writer, seems to be reporting the producer's fantasies as if the deal were done. What producer today could afford to pay all three of them from the Budget of a single movie? D. Undoubtedly, this is the casting coup of the century. That really would be quite a coup, cinematic history, even. The sticking point for me is that they haven't finalized a plot. That means even if they've all agreed to the idea, they haven't agreed to a script, and that can easily change everything. I'd definitely make it a point to see the movie, though, if Sajid Nadiadwala pulls this off.

I'll believe it when it happens, but the title of this thread put a smile on my face this morning. Imagine! An "Amar Akbar Anthony" scenario would be very neat.

Sajid Nadiadwala is known for throwing crazy amounts of money at projects, and likes multi-starrers, so it's plausible that he'd want to do it. The Khans are not going to want to do it until they see no other way to maintain their box office dominance. The year that the four biggest grossers star Shahid, Ranbir, Ranveer and Varun (or someone like that), and that all the Khan vehicles perform at that successful-but-not-blockbuster level that Talaash did in 2012...that is the year before the year you will see the three Khans together in a movie.

Looking back, I find that in 2002 Yash Raj Films wanted The Three Khans to play the sons of Waheeda Rehman. That wasn't enough for YRF: they also wanted Rani, Kajol, & Priety Zinta as their Love Interests! Of course it couldn't happen. YRF settled for Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Abishek Bachchan, Mahima Chaudry, Urmila M, & Tara Sharma. Film: Om Jai Jagadish 2002. At least they got Waheeda. Dancelover, researching JrB. SRK, Salman, and Aamir for Om Jai Jagadish wouldn't have worked - there had to be a considerable age difference between the three brothers, and all three Khans are the same age. Maybe the film would have been better off if one of the Khans had perhaps replaced Anil Kapoor or Fardeen Khan.

Then, we have the younger brother of SRK and younger sister of Salman as rookie executives of each business who are rivals initially but fall in love. The crux of the story would deal with the younger siblings uniting SRK and Salman so that their love can be accepted and bringing down Aamir. If the subject were to be treated properly and with a touch of realism, it would do wonders. For the younger brother we could have Ranbir/Sid/Varun and for the younger sister maybe Shraddha/Alia/Parineeti?

The budget of this kind of film would probably be about 200-250 crores. It would probably be a risky proposition, but considering the phenomenon such a casting coup would entail, it would most likely be able to recover its budget.

Yeah, you only have two Khans to pay instead of three, and Aamir's approach to his work is more different from the other two than Salman's is from Shahrukh's: for instance they tend to be comparatively late risers/late arrivers onset compared to Aamir. The version of the rumor that I had heard was that Aditya Chopra wanted to direct a love triangle with Ranveer, Ranbir and Katrina, then cast Shahrukh instead of Ranbir (leading to about 30 secs of rumors about an SRK-Ranveer movie, which honestly sounds pretty cool to me) and then the next rumor was that Salman would play the other lead, and Katrina seemed to vanish from the rumors of the project altogether. Only hiccup is that Aditya, like his father, doesn't work all that quickly, and Salman's legal problems could be an issue.

If they got Aamir though. If only.....
When they're older, I would love to see them in an SLB type of movie playing warring patriarchs. It would be awesome.
