Basically this is a comedy by Sajid Khan, with Saif, Riteish, and the tv actor Ram Kapoor all playing triple roles. Tamannaah Bhatia plays Saif's love interest, Esha plays his other love interest, Bipasha Basu plays Riteish's, and Ram's just along for the ride. It's been filmed at least partly in London and Mauritius.
It's probably safe to say that this won't be a terribly sophisticated movie, but it's worth noting that Saif is a very hands-on kind of guy when it comes to his film projects, and Sajid reputedly takes a lot of input from the actors he works with, so it would perhaps be unfair to dismiss this as a Housefull clone from a different production company.

On the bright side, she got a trip to London out of it, and Housefull and Heyy Babyy (from the same director) were useful "career life support" hits for Deepika and Vidya when things weren't going great for them, even though they didn't give the ladies much to do.

In fact, that's what I thought before the release of Himmatwala. But since it flopped, I don't know if her signing for a Sajid Khan's film is still a wise choice.
I do hope it will work for her the way it did for Deepika and Vidya nevertheless.

Motion poster...looks like one third of the triple roles are mental patients? I had not been all that charmed by the behind the scenes photos, but this makes it look fun.

This trailer for Humshakals is presented for informational purposes only, no endorsement is given or implied:
I don't really see why people are calling it a knockoff of Gulzar's Angoor-I'm pretty sure that's not the only Bollywood comedy of errors where you have two or more actors playing multiple roles and getting mistaken for each other, and that seems to be the only point of resemblance. I guess the "Ashok Kumar" name that the guys all have is either in reference to the leading man-turned-character-actor of that (stage) name, although maybe it could be a reference to Angoor (Ashok is the name of the two characters sanjeev Kumar plays there.)

Callertune, the song from the trailer. I kind of miss Farah Khan's choreography, but Tamannaah and Saif are pretty cute together and the song is catchy.

So Saif, who once danced through Amsterdam with Rani, now dances through London with Tammanaah. Also, a few glimpses of Riteish & Bipasha. Dancelover Callertune, the song from the trailer. I kind of miss Farah Khan's choreography, but Tamannaah and Saif are pretty cute together and the song is catchy.

Piya Ke Bazaar Mein: The song's sort of blandly cute, instead of being a proper braincell-killing Himesh Reshammiya earworm, like Caller Tune was, but I like the picturization quite a bit-lots of smiley happy people being cute together and horsing around in shiny clothes. Watching this back to back with the It's Entertainment trailer makes me want a big, sappy age-gap-aware love triangle movie from Tamannaah and the Yeh Dillagi heroes

Look Into My Eyes, which is your standard somewhat raunchy club number, although Saif is very charming (and I say that as someone who's not all that into him as a rule) and Esha occasionally shows signs of being able to dance emote.

Hum Pagal Nahin Hai:
The beat reminds me of this old "pagal" song from the 70s for some reason:

I like when the stars dance together. For anyone who doesn't recognize them in those hairstyles, Bipasha is in green, Tahmaanha is in red, and Esha is in gold. D Piya Ke Bazaar Mein: The song's sort of blandly cute, instead of being a proper braincell-killing Himesh Reshammiya earworm, like Caller Tune was, but I like the picturization quite a bit-lots of smiley happy people being cute together and horsing around in shiny clothes. Isn't it though? Very sweet. And now for something completely different: Khol de Dil ko Khidki. This was my favorite song from the soundtrack when I found it on itunes and unfortunately now it turns out that it's a men-in-drag parody of "Oh Girl You're Mine" and "Oh Jaan-e-Maan Do You Know?" from the Housefull movies.

If only this were true! Censor Board asks Sajid Khan to keep a gap of 5 years between his films to allow recovery from earlier onesPublished on June 18, 2014 by indianpsycho Mumbai. Censor Board of Film Certification today directed director Sajid Khan to keep a gap of at least 5 years between his films so that people can fully recover from the aftermath of his previous film. Threatening to make him the first director in history of Indian cinema to be banned by CBFC, the board asked him to comply or forget filmmaking forever. Arguing that such mental attacks as caused by Sajid on psyche of viewers tend to take much longer time to heal and recover than even physical attacks, board advised Sajid to be a little sensitive for his own good. “Even AAP has stopped doing dharnas every other day as they too realize importance of gaps,” a CBFC member pointed to Sajid. The board further warned Sajid to stop making films under different pseudonyms like Shirish Kunder and Farah Khan and even asked him to put up a warning like ‘From the makers of Himmatwala and Housefull’ in the trailers and posters of Humshakals with immediate effect. All these decisions were taken after 5 brave volunteers who had taken it upon themselves to review Humshakals passed out in first 10 minutes. However Mumbai Police is not convinced and is investigating if it was a suicide attempt by those 5 guys. If sources are to be believed situation is so bad that when a person is offered the post of Censor Board president, the first question he asks is if there was any Sajid Khan film slated to release in his duration as president, and declines if the answer is in affirmative. Meanwhile the board, with the help of Ram Gopal Varma, has cleared 7 cuts of Humshakals which were passed as fit enough to show, chopping out rest of the film. The movie will be released as a safe short film, sources tell Faking News. However there was a condition put forward by the board that Sajid will pay for treatment of any casualty arising out of the short film’s viewership.
