Prabhdheva's latest action masala: his first film with Ajay and his third with Sonakshi. This has Ajay in a dual role, Sonakshi in a larger role than her usual and a third heroine besides her and Yami (conflicting accounts of who it is). Shooting now, due for release second week of April 2014.
I once joked, as a commenter on FilmiGirl's blog, that Ajay has all the dancing skills of a depressed tortoise. It will be interesting to see if Prabhudheva can change that perception.

For a while this was clashing with Akshay's Thuppaki remake but it has been pushed back to a September/October release date. There has also been some fuss about it sharing its title with an American action film of the 80s/90s, but Prabhudheva and the producers have been pushing back pretty successfully so far as I can tell.

So here's the trailer (warning: fanservice and also some crude humor, the latter related to aspects of Mr. Devgn that most people would probably rather not contemplate).
Basically, the songs and action scenes look fun if derivative, the problem is going to be all the connective tissue in between them. Sonakshi seems bored with the material (as well she might; this is basically her third time playing the same character in a Prabhudheva film) and here she and Ajay have all the chemistry of a bad salad dressing. Yami Gautam is barely there, and Third Heroine Whose Name I Can't Spell is apparently just playing an evil bimbo (albeit a gun-toting one).

Keeda:
Catchy song, some offcolor humor in the picturization, no dancing to speak of. It reminds me a bit of Tera Ishq, which was the main point in Rowdy Rathore where the May-October romance felt skeevy to me.

Oh dear. I doubt I will go see it. And no he can't dance his way out of a paper bag.

Maybe that's because he would never dance *in* a paper bag in the first place? Dancelover

Okay, I am going to catch us up on this movie's song videos, skipping only Gangster Baby, which is a rude, crude item number so unengaging that the promotional video intercuts action scenes rather than give us the whole thing.
Punjabi Mast:
(FWIW, I liked this one and didn't think Ajay embarrassed himself quite as badly as usual in the dancing department).
Dhoom Dhaam:
This is the only number with Yami in it; shot in Austria or Czech Republic but reminds me a bit of "I Am In Love" from Dhadkan, and similar Swiss-shot late 90s/early 00s numbers.
AJ Theme Song (end credits):
And finally, we get a responsible adult dancing his toes off. Too bad it's the director rather than someone with an actual role in the movie. Some slightly raunchy bits, but this one is actually both fun and funny.
