I just thought I'd share the following resource I found online. rekhta.org is a pretty cool collection of Urdu poetry (they claim the largest online) that allows you to view the poetry in Roman, Hindi, or Urdu scripts. They even have a selection of Urdu ebooks, which, to my knowledge, is a relatively rare thing to find. You can see famous poets and singers recite or sing poetry, too, here (includes a list of famous ghazals sung by famous singers like Asha Bhosle, for example). It's worth a dekko.

Thanks for the link, James! I love that they provide Devnagari and Roman transliterations (still working on reading Urdu fluently so having the other two scripts helps immensely) and that you can scroll over each word to get the English translation.

I'm really glad you like it, Dariya. It is kind of ideal for someone who already reads Hindi but has also memorized the Urdu script to be able to see the devanagari spelling, since it's so difficult to know the pronunciation of Urdu words you've never encountered before. I've noticed they've put a *lot* of work into the site in the brief time I've been following it, so it seems like it will only get much better quite soon.
