As she stepped out of her van in a red traditional dress, people just looked on. There was a lot of buzz on the the set of the popular dance reality show DID, because after 25 years Madhuri Dixit Nene would be performing with Mithun Chakraborty. They had done a romantic film 'Prem Pratigya' together. Madhuri was going to appear as a celeb judge for the first time on the show. Young men and women wore tags that said, 'I love Madhuri' and amidst all that frenzy, she looked calm, composed and excited to be a part of the show. She gave a few smiles, posed for the shutterbugs and then comfortably got seated with Mithun.
Madhuri told the audience on the set, "Mithunda will always be special. He used to always call me 'Mads'. I was a newcomer when we worked together in 'Prem Pratigya' and he was protective about me. There was a scene in the film, where I had to slap him. It was very crucial for me because I had to do this with a star, but he made me feel very comfortable. He would ask the unit to pack up for me and say, 'Madhuri is getting late, let her go home. He is a thorough gentleman."

Mithun who feels that he saw potential in the younger Madhuri then, says, "She had a spark in her and when she was delivering the lines somewhere I did feel that she had it in her and asked the filmmaker, that you should take her. I would not say I 'recommended' her, that's a derogatory word, she had it in her to be a good actor. And the best part is, she is the same, she hasn't changed at all."
