^ No problem. I don't think I commented on the original thread, but I really liked the trailer. The music is lovely! If the soundtrack is anything like the original, I'd watch it for that reason alone.

Interview with Huma Qureshi: Director Abhishek Chaubey's' Dedh Ishqiya is an opportunity to share the screen with artists such as Madhuri Dixit and Naseeruddin Shah for Huma Qureshi. Huma with film excerpts from the conversation: How is 'Dedh Ishqiya', different from 'Ishqiya'? Both the character and the world is very different. It is an old world which is proving to be a misfit in the new world. Mahmudabad near Lucknow is a place where the Begum lives in a mansion. She has a history of her own. There is also a lighter side to her life in which Babban and Khalu come to add color. Babban is Arshad Warsi & Naseer sir is Khalu. 'Ishqiya' had a Darker side but this has more of a comic element and this is where the movie will be different. In other words, the film is madness. Mansion, Nawab, Begum and Lucknow are together, what is the course of the story? Modern day Lucknow is shown. Abhishek Choubey and author Darab Farooqi have worked hard on the film's story. Along with old things in the film there are also references of the iPhone and Dish TV. The film belongs to Desi Cool category, you are desi and you are cool too. There are seven stages of love in the film, which was common for people in old Lucknow. What are the seven stages of love and where are you? I remember some of the stages, but not all seven. Mohabbat, Uns, Akidat, Ibadat, Junoon and death in the end. Two I have forgotten. In what state I am, it's hard to tell, but I quite like the state of passion. If two people are in a state of junoon (passion) they remain perfect in love. What do you have to do with the Begum's life? I am playing the role of Munia who always stays with the Begum. Full name is Munira Aslam Zia Ul Bano. She is like a shadow of the Begum. She is also mentioned in the decisions of the Begum. The Begum even takes into consideration her opinion while deciding the intensity of her feelings. Babban and Khalu coming to the life of Begum also has an impact on the life of Munia, but at any rate she wants to protect the life of the Begum. If you compare with the older Ishqiya, Khalu and Babban's characters have motivation. There is also motivation for the Begum's character but not for Munia. You will not know what Munia wants till the end. But without Munia the story will not move. www.jagran.com/entertainment/bollywood-huma-qureshi-will-be-seen-in-dedh-ishqiya-10861223.html

Backstage pass: The Begum Of Lucknowi couturewww.mumbaimirror.com/entertainment/bollywood/Backatge-pass-The-Begum-Of-Lucknowi-couture/articleshow/26058773.cmsBy: Kripa Krishnan Film: Dedh Ishqiya How would an aging coquette reigning over a surreal town nestled between nawabi nazakat and modern malice dress? When Payal Saluja, the costume designer of Dedh Ishqiya was first introduced to Begum Para -- Madhuri Dixit's character in the film--the dichotomy intrigued and flummoxed her. She spent the next three months trawling the lanes of Lucknow, Mahmudabad and Delhi for the answer and now it was director Abhishek Chaubey's turn to be puzzled. Who wouldn't be, when confronted with monikers like Toriphula and Zehermora. For the uninitiated, these are the old names for colours popularly known as yellow and teal and for a director who jokes that men, like animals, only see black and white, they proved a mouthful. "Abhishek is not easy to please and the clothes had to reflect the Begum, who is haughty, bashful and a tease at the same time. So it was definitely a challenge" says Payal. So, we have Madhuri wearing a chikan anarkali in shades of champagne and gold in a romantic scene while her wedding outfit, which is also the costliest ensemble in the wardrobe, is a mix of green, beige and red to signify an unconventional bride. Instead of the fishtail silhouette of the ghararas (pleated and gathered at the knees) which is a favourite with filmi Begums, Madhuri sports the more authentic farshi shararas (a voluminous lehenga with a middle part) in the film. Then there is the jhoomar which is the begum's constant companion and the necklace which plays a significant part in the plot, all crafted by the jewellers of Old Delhi. Madhuri's last remembered turn as Chandramukhi, the lovelorn courtesan of Devdas, came more than a decade ago. But Chandramukhi and Begum Para seem to have similar sartorial tastes. "You will see a totally different Madhuri, actually you will not see Madhuri, just Begum," says Payal, brushing off the observation. And how much did the exquisite wardrobe cost? Though Payal refuses to talk numbers, she is all praise for the generous makers and their deep pockets. After all, the Dhak Dhak girl's return should be 'priceless'!

Madhuri excited about Remo directed song in ‘Dedh Ishqiya’www.mizonews.net/entertainment/madhuri-excited-remo-directed-song-dedh-ishqiya/#ixzz2lfLaFWf5Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit is excited about the Remo D’Souza choreographed song in her much awaited movie “Dedh Ishqiya” and says that the dance director tried something different in it. “There are two dance numbers in the film and both the songs are sung by Rekha Bhardwaj. Birju Maharaj has choreographed one song and the other is by Remo. I am very excited about Remo’s song as it’s very unlike Remo style. He has done a good job,” Madhuri told reporters Monday at a “Dedh Ishqiya” event here. Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, “Dedh Ishqiya”, a sequel to “Ishiqya”, also stars Arshad Warsi and Huma Qureshi. In the film, Madhuri will be seen romancing Naseeruddin Shah, who was missing from the event. Ketan Maru, co-producer of “Dedh Ishqiya”, said: ” Naseeruddin Shah is busy with his theatre commitments. He has got a play in the evening.”

To tell you the truth, I'm not that high on what Madhuri's wearing either or Arshad. But I agree with you, something about the combination of the dress and the makeup looks really odd on Huma.

Thank you, Ally! Now that is a proper song and dance number, and I really like both the climax and Madhuri's intro.

I like the promo, a lot, but I´m not sure if I am not biased. Some people on other websites labeled it mediocre and other things, and I know for sure they are the last ones who would be saying it out of spite or anything. They are usually pretty level-headed.... I guess it has to do with expectations. One really does not expect anything less from MADHURI DIXIT than great and awesome, and the choreography here is not really on par of what she has done in the past. It was done by Remo, and I think he did a commendable job, but yeah.... when life gives you Madhuri, you push yourself harder than ever. I personally think the video is bit too dark And Rekha Bhardwaj´s voice is just so not Madhuri. One eventually gets used to it, but the first impression is just not right.
