I was watching this Greek tv series and the background music in one of the scenes was the opening bars from "Yeh Mera Dil" from Don.

Friday night I was making cookies, and I turned on Netflix, and looked for something to watch without subtitles since I would be listening more than watching while I worked.
I decided to try Sense8 which I had heard good things about. 8 people around the world become telepathically linked and it's all very sci-fi. It's the Wachowski siblings of Matrix fame who make it.
So, one character is in India which I didn't know going in, and of course Anupam Kher plays her father which was the first nice surprise.
THEN there was this engagement party in the second episode, where the groom stands up and surprises her with THIS. I was not expecting Shahrukh Khan in a sci-fi show!! When he says the first date was to see A Match Made by God, I was like NO WAY!!

Yesterday a customer came in, a young Indian man and his friend. I asked his name and he said Anil. I replied oh like Anil Kapoor. He was totally surprised and said You know Anil Kapoor? Yes I said and not from Slumdog Millionaire. I’ve seen him in many films, as well as Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and many other Indian film stars. He asked what films had I seen and laughing I said As many as I can, from Mother Indian all the way to Salman's latest, Bajrangi Bhaijaan. This led to a lengthy conversation on Indian films. He gave me some recommendations for older films and asked for my e-mail so he could send me some more. Such a nice young man. He actually met Salman when he was younger. Salman stayed at the hotel he worked at. I just love it when Indian customers are so surprised that I know anything about their films and homeland.

One of my coworkers at my new job bears a striking resemblance to Aamir Khan (a blend of his looks from Rangeela and Ghajini). Sometimes have to do a double take when I see him!

METRO Newspaper is an advertiser-supported 28-32 page paper in some big USA cities. They reserve one page for entertainment gossip, perhaps four or five stories.
On Tuesday 8/16/16 they had only three stories: Adele won't sing at the Super Bowl, a Selena vs Bieber, and Kendall Jenner saw a stalker and called the cops. That left one space, which they filled with:
"SHAH RUKH KHAN has a good use for Pokemon Go." "[he] may be the famous Bollywood actor, but ... red carpet {not} rolled out for him ... at US airports." So he tweeted "caught some really nice Pokemons."

I love murder mysteries, especially the British variety (more brain, less brawn). So yesterday I watched Midsomer Murders on Netflix, season 19, episode 4. The murder took place at a pet show, featuring prize winning bunnies. The winning bunny was named Shahrukh.
