It seems from www.chiloka.com which records the Kannada part of the Indian Film Industry, that one or more actresses who work in Kollywood use the name "Shashikala." These should not be confused with the Famous Supporting Actress in the Hindi part of IFI called Shashikala, who was born in 1932 as Shashikala Jawalkar, and married Om Prakash Saigal, and appeared in Bimal Roy's Aarti 1959, Yash Chopra's Waqt 1965, and in Karan Johar's K3G 2002, among many others. Chiloka shows one Kannadan "Shashikala" as appearing in 37 films, including: 1977: Babruvahana, Bhagyavantharu, Hemavathi, Olavu Geluvu; 1978: Bhale Hudagu; 1979: Mutthu Ondu Mutthu, Kaadu Kudure, Arivu; 1980 Mayeya Musuku, Ram Laxman, Manjina There; 1981: Kurubara Lakka, Naga Kala Bhairava, Preetisi Nodu, Shikari; 1982: Garuda Rekhe, 1982 (cont): Jimmy Gallu, Khadeema Kallaru, Nanna Devaru, Parajitha, Raga Thala, Shankar Sundar; 1983: Aasha, Benkiya Bale, Benkiyalli Aralida Hoovu, Chandi Chamundi, Gayathri Maduve, Hasida Hebbuli, 1983 (cont): Kalluveene Nudiyithu, Kranthiyogi Basavanna, Prema Yuddha. Chiloka also shows another Kannadan "Shashikala" who made 30 films from 2007 thru 2016. Those two Kannadans might be the same person, or not. Chiloka has no biography data for either. Either might be the same person as Shashikala J. Saigal. My guess is that Mrs. Saigal is a different person. Howard "Dancelover" Wilkins
