I was browsing comments on PinkVilla and someone said they were in the audience for the Madhuri/Juhi episode...a change in format? Shot in front of an audience? Sounds a little odd (I mean, the anonymous source isn't exactly credible but it still has me interested in why Karan would go that route).

No idea about the format, but here are some beautiful pics from the sets of KWK. Ladies are looking good!

*groans* again?
I thought the SOTY kids were confirmed, as well?

was my reaction. I do love them and their films but smartly enough they are not the main attraction season. Salman Khan is interesting and I'm looking forward to watching it. Now if he could get Aamir too, that would be some achievement I suppose.
Deepika and Priyanka is not so good on Priyanka who looks so plastic and fake next to Deepika's natural beauty. I also suspect (from Deepika's episode with Sonam) that Deepika would come off better.

I thought the SOTY kids were confirmed, as well? Oh, my bad! They slipped my mind. And, yeah, Shah Rukh and Kajol are pretty snooze-worthy. (Though I'm sure Karan will take the opportunity to grill them about the JTHJ-SOS feud.) On the bright side, though, this episode can't be as cringeworthy and self-pitying as SRK's solo episode last season.

I have to assume the SRK/Kajol ep is primarily for Kajol's benefit-her husband has said that he is producing a film vehicle for her, it's clear from the interviews and photoshoots that she's planning a comeback, and from that POV, an episode of KWK dedicated to reminding everybody who she's friends with and what movies she's most famous for is not a bad idea. An appearance from Aamir and his wife Kiran is semi-confirmed, and there was a Pinkvilla poll that I can't find now that was treating a joint appearance by the Gunday boys (Ranveer and Arjun) as a done deal. ETA: found it, also treats an Aditya/Shraddha episode as a done deal: www.pinkvilla.com/poll/celebrity-faceoff/which-kwk-episode-are-you-looking-most-looking-forwardDoes this account for a full season's worth of eps?

My word! Karan starts with a song-and-dance number, in front of 4 women and then 4 men, for 40 seconds! The Interview starts at about 1:30. D

...and is extremely awkward for at least ten more minutes. Karan is such an embarassement to his own show. Never thought I´d say this, but Salman was the saving point. Or at least he tried.

Thanks for posting this, Ally-I will try to sit down and watch it this evening. I've seen comparatively little of the show over the years (excerpted segments here and there, plus the season three ep with Ajay), but I have the impression a lot of people feel that any guest who's neither boring nor actively unpleasant comes off better than Karan himself does.
ETA: just watched. And yes, those opening minutes are horribly, horribly awkward. Salman was mostly amusing, occasionally arrogant (I'm pretty sure he doesn't have a copyright on the "just friends" line of defense when it comes to girlfriends and mistresses) and reminded me a bit of the Johnny Depp interviews I've seen-the flaky, quirky guy who's kind of off in his own little world, either due to current or former substance abuse. I empathized with his talk about the old and new Salman (that part felt genuine, the talk about Being Human less so), and LOL'd at his answer to the question about the best and worst things about being Salman Khan. Salim was less unpleasant than I expected, made all the correct sounds about his son's legal woes, and you could tell he must have been quite a conversationalist when he was younger, but the basic impression I got was of a rather repressed, self-righteous man who cares about his children but doesn't always express it well (the face Salman made when his father spoke about not wanting his children to be afraid of him spoke volumes.)

Promos for the Bebo/Ranbu episode:
Looks like loads of fun for those of us who enjoy her silliness, not so much for those who don't. Ranbir looks like he's decided he's never doing this again.

I don't think I have ever seen Salman this voluble. Altogether, it was an interesting and fun watch. For all his wild ways, he seems a pretty old-fashioned guy in some respects when he talks about reasons for giving ex-girlfriends a wide berth (esp. if they have other men in their lives)and understands how Indian society stigmatizes women, particularly those who hook up with film stars. I was touched about his tussle with his older, crazier self and the control he must exert over that persona...I guess that's the problem with growing up so late in life. As for Karan and his pink piano..makes me wonder why he doesn't just come out honestly.
