The Telugu movie industry is so different. $20 in the theater first week, then they show it on TV and sometimes free on Youtube, and this time for cheap rental, but no DVD yet!
48 hour rental within 30 days from payment of $2.49.
This says it's in HD 4K, so for all those who've been waiting to see it in Telugu with subs, it's here in Prabhas' own glorious voice!
(Edit -- there are no subs, unfortunately, but you can use the Chrome extension to drop a sub file on it.)

Ooh - now I have a dilemma. MrsB gave me the Hindi dubbed DVD as a birthday present, so I ought to watch that version. But we also have a new 4K OLED TV, on which this would look AMAZING. Decisions, decisions...

From one man to another: You made *that* decision when you took your wedding vows, so no dilemma. (just a monolemma ) Howard "Dancelover"

Rented it this past weekend to watch with my husband, who had never seen it. It had no subs!
I used the Chrome extension to drop a subtitle file on it, but then I had to watch it by hooking up my laptop to the tv as sub files won't go through Chromecast.
The quality of the picture is great, but I'm so disappointed it didn't have subs included. For $2.49 it was worth trying it.

Whoo Hoo!! Baahubali is available to BUY for $7.50 on Youtube, in TELUGU with English Subs in 4K. Not just to rent.
My birthday is this weekend, and all I asked of my sons is that they watch Baahubali with me. They have never seen an Indian film of any kind before. They've walked through the room and seen a few minutes here or there, but never sat down and watched an entire Indian film in any language.
I went to rent it and then saw the Buy option! I tweeted about it, and then @baahubalimovie retweeted me!
My sons both really liked it. My older son complained about Avantikha, and I agree with him. Zach was really mad that Avanthika basically disappeared after the love song. "I thought she was supposed to be this important character....and then nothing." Can't argue with that. It's my disappointment too.
